Taylor06 9 Posted February 18, 2014 Hi all, The hospital that I had my sleeve done and my husband had his gastric bypass is asking us to do a video for their website and it will also be used at a fundraiser. My question is: I really want to have plastic surgery when I am done losing my weight. I am down 94 pounds and I still want to lose another 70-80. I know I am going to have skin issues, I already have issues with my thighs and arms and I am sure my stomach is going to be an issue. (I would also like to have a breast lift) Do you think I should ask the hospital for them to donate some of these services for me or give me a discount in exchange for the video? I just don’t want to come off like I expect them to do that for me in exchange for the video, but it would be really nice if they could help me out with it. 1 BigGirlPanties reacted to this
gohelpyourself 377 Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) Nothing wrong with a little negotiation! Afterall.... you are sacrificing your privacy/confidentiality. I would present it like "I would love to do this because it is for a good cause... I am honored to have been chosen and I do not want to make this about me But...... " Can't hurt. Maybe they can wave hospital stay. I am sure you will have to still pay surgeon and anesthesiologists. NMJG 1,266 Posted February 18, 2014 You can ask for sure. I'd be surprised it they would do it (she says cynically), but it never hurts to try. Let us know what happens. Personally I would never do a video like that for any amount, I'm too private, but that's just me. However, I love watching other people and those videos are so necessary. Glad someone is open to doing them.
