Does anyone know if the Swanson flavor infused broths are considered a clear liquid? I am on my pre-op and my dr office is closed. I want to stop at the store but I don't want to buy it if it's not. Please and thank you!!

Yep, you can have them! And a very kind person on here gave me the idea of straining regular chicken noodle or vegetable or beef Soups and just drinking the broth from that. I checked with my nutritionist and she said that was fine as long as the broth was clear. Wanton Soup is ok to do that with too. :) Just an idea for you - I can't get plain broth past my nose. :)

Yes - and they have flavored varieties if you like a little spice and can tolerate it. :)

Plain broth isn't good to me either but add some Unjury chicken to it and it's awesome!

Phew!!! Thanks all!

The plain chicken broth makes me gag! LoL

I tried a sample of the unjury chicken last Friday and immediately ordered a can of it! It's great but obviously it will take a couple days to get to me.

I simmer plain chicken broth with dried rosemary & thyme and add a tsp. of Better than Bouillon and it is delicious.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
