nhazel01 1 Posted February 16, 2014 As anyone experienced any right side cramping or pulling when you pee since the surgery? I had a catheter in for the surgery and every since they removed it I have this pain when I pee. I called Dr. Averbach and he says to keep taking the Cipro my primary care prescribed but I just want to know if anyone else has had this problem.
Babypee49 0 Posted February 16, 2014 I know I had cramping but I ended up being dehydrated and a bladder infection from being dehydrated.
Recycled 2,182 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) I think you've already answered the question. Catheter, pain, Cipro. You've probably got a UTI and it's gonna take a while to get rid of the infection. If it persists, I'd get in touch with a Urologists. belloni45 21 Posted February 17, 2014 I had the same thing and after I finished the Cipro, it took maybe two more weeks to feel better. The dehydration makes it worse. Hope that helps :-)
redstacey 33 Posted February 17, 2014 I just recently went through the same thing. My surgery was the first of December. I thought that I just had a very sensitive bladder due to the catheter. Come to find out I had a horrible bladder infection. I too took cipro for two weeks. I also added Azo pills to my daily Vitamins just for a while to continue helping flush my kidneys and bladder. But you sure do take it for granted when you can't urinate without pain. It is getting a lot better one day at a time. I just have to remind myself to drink drink drink. I have actually set alarms on my phone right now to remind me to get something to drink just to push through this as fast as possible.
