Feeling fantastic!!! Just found this pic from last summer when I was 204lbs. This makes me realize how far I have come. My surgery was 10/1/2014. I am so close to goal it's an amazing feeling not to worry about what I am eating or what I am going to wear. I am no longer embarrassed to go out in public. I am enjoying life and feeling good...

I am trying to decide if I need to keep losing or if it time to go into maintenance. I need advice so I am including a before and after undie pic also. Be kind!!! I am at 138. My doc originally set a goal of 130-140. I had planned 120-130. But I am thinking maybe I don't need to go any father. Jut looking for some friendly support and advice. Thanks in advance.

Is your surgery date correct? I think you look good and should stay where you are but how do you feel about yourself?

I feel good where I am but I have never had the appropriate self body image. I ne'er see what is truly in the mirror. Which sounds crazy I know. Lol. I feel so much better and I know I wear a smaller size but I still have a hard time truly seeing me.

First off, congrats on your success. You look great. I also agree with others...it's what you think that matters....

But you asked so......

Ok.....I'll try to answer this delicately and respectfully from a guy's view:)

I think you are very balanced and natural looking at your current weight. Perfect!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
