An somebody describe the feeling full sensation? I don't think I've experienced yet. I am on day 3 post op. Today I've had 1 cup of tea, 1 ice pop, 1 1/2 cup of broth and a bottle of propel that I was sipping on all day. Is that too much?

From what I understand because its liquids you will probably be drinking a lot but once you get to solid foods that's the real test

Oh, you'll know when you hit full. Its where one, more, mouthful and it feels like you have a bus parked in your chest!

There'll be no mistaking it when it happens! :D

I didn't feel "full" until I was eating food and a few weeks after surgery. Full feels different now for me than it did pre-surgery. I try not to get to full because it's uncomfortable - my goal is more about making the hunger go away.

You have to be aware of your signals while you're getting to full - sometimes my nose will start to run, sometimes I do a hiccup/burp thing, and other times I feel a poke in my stomach. Those are my triggers to stop. If I take even a couple of bites after that, I'm full and uncomfortable.

When you start adding foods to your diet, you need to weigh/measure your food. When you eat, take your time (I downloaded an app called Eat Slower - it chimes once per minute and that's when you take a bite), eating slower will help you be more aware of your body and it's signals.

Liquids won't "fill u". Neither will purees. U hafta just stick with the measurements ur dr gave u.

When ur started on soft foods, u will fee' "full". Much different than ur life before (think after Thanksgiving "full"). Yes, ur goal is to stop the hunger - and just a few bites (literally 3-8 bites) will do it, especially in the beginning. I'm 7 mths out and can eat quite a bit more. I'm pretty much maintaining fairly easier. Gunna hafta work harder to lose the last 18.

So thats that. Feeling "full" after ur sleeve can be quite painful. I know when I've 1 bite too much - and the 1 bite can feel like a whole sandwich too much!

Everyone is most definitely different....im on "full" liquids...things like yogurts...sugar free puddings...optifast shakes/soups...etc. And the struggle has been real for me. Not eating solids yet and the liquids are filling me up quick. I am only able to take in about 1-2 oz. of liquid and I have to wait 30-60 min. before I can "sip" again. I am definitely not complaining...this is a Gastric Bypass that was revised into a Sleeve. I went out and bought nectar Carribean Breeze Protein mix and the Isopure Protein Watee ...like someone posted earlier they have 40 grams per bottle.

Hoping these will help break up the chocolate and carmel shake routines.

I wake up sipping....go to sleep sipping...but its hard to get at least 80 grams in per day ....but again Im thankful.
