slocin12 41 Posted February 15, 2014 How soon did you go back to work?
MIJourney 490 Posted February 15, 2014 I work in a medical building probably 75% desk work/25% running around. No heavy lifting. I took off 2 weeks and it was perfect for me but everyone is different and you'll get a range of answers. My dr suggested 2 weeks so that's what I went with. Kindle 8,667 Posted February 15, 2014 I'm a vet tech, so pretty active, on my feet all day kind of job. Went back part time after 1 week and full time at 2 weeks. Still had lifting restrictions until 3 weeks out.
DestinClair1983 72 Posted February 15, 2014 My doctor had me on a no lifting, bending, twisting restriction for 8 weeks, and due to the nature of my work, I can't have any of those restrictions, so I was out of work for 8 weeks.
McButterpants 2,846 Posted February 16, 2014 I have a desk job and I telecommute from home full time - not taxing on the body at all. I had my surgery on a Thursday and went back 1/2 days the following week. It was nice because I could stop, take a nap or just take a break. The following week I went back full time - it was OK, but I did get tired very easily. By the following week I was good to go full time.
