Day 2 post op was really hard for me. I was in a bunch of pain and my tummy would not stop rumbling. Today is day 3 and I'm not in as much pain. I'm still weak and out of breath. I'm not as hungry though and I continue walking around the house to help with gas.

Glad u are feel n better I am nervous about the gas pain..

I think the soreness is much worst than the gas pains. Getting in and out of bed or just trying to stand up from sitting is where all my pain is. Get you some gas x strips and walk. The gas pain did not hurt me. It was just very uncomfortable. I could feel it move from one side of my body to the next

I love my heating bad. I pretty much turn it on when I sit back down or lie down. I just hate how I'm so hungry on the one week Clear Liquids diet.

Are you drinking your liquids every 15 minutes . Don't know what your doc or nutritionists directed you to do, but I haste that you're hungry. They have clear Protein you can drink. Try that for your hunger pangs.

They told me I can have all the clear liquids I could handle since I'm wide open. I still can't find Isopure anywhere for the clear Liquid Protein.

I need to get out and check GNC or buy some my doctors office. My band has it's own mind today. I'm so full but my tummy is still giving me hunger pains. I've only got down about 16 ounces of fluids today.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
