I love the chocolate Mousse! LOL I add powder Peanut Butter to it... delish! What do you to mix it with? Did you like that Orange Cream? I just bought a tube of it today. I buy it at a local pharmacy...they stock all flavors. How did you hear about fusion btw?

I love the Bariatric Fusion powders. Or at least the cappacino, orange cream and the cinnamon bun ones. Wasn't a fan of the unflavored or chocolate mousse.

I still have the strawberry and mint choc chip to try.

I also love the no sugar added carnation instant Breakfast. Totally 100% tastes just like chocolate milk.

I mix all Protein powders with fat free milk. And yeah, the orange cream was pretty good.

My doc sells bariatric fusion. They also have all the flavors, in tubs and packets.

SJ, that's the one I wanted to try. The cappuccino. I did not like the cinnamon one. And I didn't like the unflavored Unjury but I heard the chix Soup was good but he was out. Did u end up getting the unjury starter kit?

The cappacino one tastes almost like cappacino. It was the first one in tried and the one I go back to the most. :) I still have the strawberry shortcake, mint choc ice cream, and vanilla to try.

I don't think I like the unjury unflavored either. I can smell It or something.

No. I haven't yet. I think I'm going to order it though. I dunno. The $8 shipping on $21 is kind of silly. Haha. I got the unflavored unjury at my docs office.

I do not like pre-made shakes. If my insurance approves those I am going to certainly try but the bariatric shakes I get here locally are really good. I like to doctor my shakes up anyways. So I am always adding to them. Because those powders are expensive I often use 1/2 scoop and add greek yogurt to it along with other ingredients to up the Protein. Does your insurance cover Premier? What other powders have you tried? Have they all been bariatric shakes??

So that's a no. Premier is the most recommended RTD shake on this site. I love it with a splash of Torani sf raspberry Syrup and it has 30g carbs.

Some ppl, like me, aren't allowed Greek yogurt on their preop. But I'll definitely give it a try after I'm cleared to.

I've tried unjury, about time, new direction, bariatric fusion and Bariatric Advantage. The only one that didn't make me gag or make me sick was about time. It has like 5 ingredients and you can pronounce every one. Uses stevia as a sweetener.

I didn't use it pre op (the greek yogurt) I wasn't allowed either. I don't like pre made shakes because in past experience, pre-made shakes have always had a gritty taste plus I am very happy with fusion. If my insurance approves it will be the only way I try it. I think it would be beneficial to have a pre made shake (in my purse/car) available for times when I can't get to my kitchen blender and I am in a pinch to get something into my stomach.

I honestly prefer using whole foods and plant Proteins to make my own shakes b/c many of those shakes have a lot of fillers and other ingredients I can't pronounce.

My friend recommended Unjury but I am happy with Fusion so I am not really shopping around for anything else.

Honestly.. the shakes are the only thing my stomach doesn't do flips when it hits my belly so I have been primarily doing shakes even though I have been cleared for a soft diet.

BTW, how much are those Premier shakes?

At our class they had so many but the ones I WANTED to try were not there. My nut brought samples from her own supply so we didn't feel like we were forced into buying their office's brands they carry

Right about $19.88 for a 12 pk at SAMs. You may look up about time. It's tryabouttime.com. That's my nut's favorite. It's the one that's gluten free, vegan and uses stevia as it's sweetener. Not too bad.

I need to try that!! (Decaf and the cappacino). And I really need to get some torani syrups. Where do you buy em? I'd prefer to try and find some at a store, instead of ordering since I'm a procrastinator and am running out of time. Lol

Girl, I got mine at Walmart on the coffee aisle. Be careful n make sure you get the sugar free. They have a minimal selection at walmart. If you have a whole foods or central market, they have shit-tons there.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
