Ya'll have to check out these swim suits if your scars are still bright red like mine. I'm going to the sun next week and I can't yet wear a bikini bottom comfortably because of my scar. These suits cover the scar and look great on! Many styles beyond this one:

Picture from yesterday morning. I am 2 months post op as of the 18th (Friday). I'm back to full range of motion and full range of activities. I've lost some core strength but it'll come back fast. I have a bit of shaking in core stabilizing activities but nothing I'm complaining about! Just reporting. I am pain free. I also don't experience the massive post workout swelling many ppl mentioned. I did have to take back all the size 4 ON for size 2. I'll post more pics. It's pretty awesome to be me these days :)) I will say that I'm an atypical healer. A bit beyond textbook. I'm fortunate that way.

Many people do not understand how life changing plastic surgery can be. Congratulations on your success. Hopefully your story will inspire many others to make the same life changing journey.

Many people do not understand how life changing plastic surgery can be. Congratulations on your success.

Those words are SO TRUE!

When you start losing weight you are all overtaken by the numbers - When you get to your goal and look in the mirror and see an Alien in front of you - Skin hanging everywhere - It is like being an outcast all over again (Even if only to yourself) The joy of losing weight is tainted by the reality that you are STILL ABNORMAL.

Reconstructive surgery gave me a gift that nobody else could ever give to me. No amount of diamonds or jewels could give me that one thing I was always searching for, and eventually found.. I found........ MYSELF. The REAL me I never knew, or never truly knew...... Yeah I am covered in scars - They tell the story of the journey I have been on.... But - I actually do like my scars - We made friends. For without them - I would not be the Me I am today....

We may all go on with our lives, may never speak again - but we all hold one thing in common - Our Journeys are slightly different - But we all know how it feels to just wanna be...... ME (us)

Well done to everybody who has been on such a life changing and amazing journey!!

Truer words were never spoken. I to am

On the other side if my journey. I had my plastic surgery the 21 Feb. I had wonderful Dr. Sauceda in Mexico. I had large thigh lift, lower body lift, breast lift with implants, and arm lift. It is almost 3 months already. Things are almost back to normal and I'm so happy for it. The six weeks sitting was torture and the garments weren't much fun. The end results are amazing. Not perfect but oh so much better. I can not express the gratitude I have for each and every post in have read on these sites. A special thanks to Cowgirl Jane as she was the one who led me to the good Dr. I wish all of you happiness along your journey.

Miss Bean - I am so glad it worked out well for you. I personally continue to be astounded by my results. I am 6 months out and really this experience was transformational.

I had the same procedures you did - only I didn't do the long thigh, but the short thigh lift. I sometimes regret that I didn't get the long lift because when i wear short shorts or a short dress, my inner thighs still have some pudge/loose skin that does not go away with exercise. Flip side, I don't have the scar so I have decided it is good enough for this hawt 49 year old..haha!

Thanks again Cowgirl Jane. And I was suppose to have a small thigh lift but I ended up with a large one once he saw me. Everyday is a new day and never know what to expect.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
