I am 15 days post op and I feel full all the time. For example, I had a 1/2 a lean shake for Breakfast and the other half for a snack and still feel really full. Any suggestions/comments are greatly appreciated.

How did you feel right after the surgery? A lot of pain or discomfort? I'm getting banded in a couple weeks, and I'm wondering what to expect.

Sorry I can't help with your actual question! ;-) I do hope you''re doing well. Take care!

That's okay. I felt good other than having gas pain/discomfort. The worst part is the gas pain, especially when it radiates to your left shoulder/back. I was up and walking around the same day and went back to work after a week.

Isn't it great!!!! I also had no appetite post-surgery and that was a good taste of what it's like to be in the green zone. Some people are ravenous right away. My hunger did return and that was just about the time I was scheduled for a first fill anyway so that worked out well. Good luck and congratulations on being two weeks out. It's amazing how the time goes by. Just think of a year from now!

I have a question regarding your question. You said that you are 15 days post-op. That means you are currently on pureed foods. As you mentioned you split the lean shake Breakfast in two. My question is, have you been okay with the pureed meals? Was there any issue after having your meal?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
