Yet another stall post :-(

So I am 11 weeks out and down about 32 pounds since surgery. I know we shouldn't compare, but that seems really slow compared to some of the numbers that I've seen on here. I acknowledge that I need to get going on my exercise ( plan on doing 30 day shred today). I am eating about 800 calories per day and 60-80g Protein and around 60 carbs ( I know some people really reduce carbs but my Nut wants us to have some whole grains). I haven't lost anything in about 10 days and I feel like I've been stalled more than I've been losing. I am just really frustrated. Also, I feel like all of my weight loss has come from my boobs. So they're getting smaller while my gut still looks like I have a 30 week fetus in there. Also, this may be TMi, but my periods have been lasting two weeks or more, which is especially odd since I have a Mirena. I wonder if this is affecting my weight loss. Does anyone have any insight to share.

Oh my goodness :o

so many questions, so little time!!!! :lol:

"they" say losing an average of 10 lbs per month is good

so..........32 lbs in 11 weeks IS great!!!!

the one thing "we" have in common is that we're all different!!! ;)

that being said, i hear mmmmmany others say their boobs are deflating :o

don't worry about what the other guy loses, concentrate on yourself, ONLY

I've heard that "your" hormones definitely can get affected - thus a change in your cycle

some people stop having a period all together - others have it longer - others, shorter :wacko:

stalls happen to many/most people - don't worry, they too will pass

you will get over this and other hurdles :)

I'm 13 weeks and your weight loss is similar to mine - I consider myself a slow loser, but I've come to terms with that. Comparing yourself to others will lead to unhappiness/disappointment, so I've tried to stop.

I am just coming off a 12 days stall...It sucks, but it is what it is. I can't control what my body does, I can only control what I put in my mouth and moving my body. I figure my body will catch up when it's ready.

I actually increased my calories by 200-250 the past few days and, surprise, stall is over. I was getting 800-900 calories per day. It could be a coincidence, but this is the 2nd time it's happened. I call it "feeding the stall".

I also take my measurements - it helped with this latest stall to know that in the last month I've lost another couple of inches on my hips. Measurements will tell you you're getting smaller when the scale isn't budging.

You're doing great - keep working your plan and start that shred; exercise will do your mind wonders as well.

R u exercising ..I was in a stall then I said to myself..time to get moving. And boy did that break my stall .,I do 30 minutes of hard cardio for 30 minutes, do weight machines, and swim laps. Lost 3 pounds the first weeks after I started to exercise. :)

You probably need to start exercising (as do I. I've done none to really make mention of :unsure: ). But also, check again with your nutritionist; 60 gms of carbs seems like a lot at this stage, especially grains--starch. (You might want to get the book, The Grain Brain.)

And as I've posted elsewhere, I personally had to stop all products with Splenda/sucralose. When I did that last week, I broke my stall. Lost 5 pounds.

Re: 'the girls"--boobs...yeah. A friend of mine said, "Well, you have to let me get next to them before they go away!" LOL. Of the men calling me, he is last on my list of them all, so I thought, yeah, dream on, dude. You ain't the one. :D

I will add to my post - I'm exercising on a regular basis...5-6 days per week, 60-75 minutes at the gym. Exercise is an important part of this journey to be sure. I started walking the day of surgery and haven't stopped since!

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life.       Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

        Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
