Had my surgery 11/28/2019. Changed my life for the better. The added bonus of being healthy? all the compliments 😋

I was 130kgs. I have lost approx 55kgs. I am currently 74kgs and still going strong! Struggling with the last 14kgs but I'm getting there! Here are my two before and two after!

You're an inspiration to me. I weigh 390 and am getting the sleeve on May 3rd, and my goal is 200. I wasn't sure if there was anyone who had the sleeve that lost the kind of weight I'm wanting to, since most get the bypass when they have an extremely large amount to lose. You give me so much hope that what I want to do is possible with the sleeve!!! You look fantastic!!!

I am sooo scared that I won't lose any weight at all .......... I have to take a cocktail of drugs for a neurological condition - which started my weight gain in the first place !!! That would be my worst nightmare - to go through surgery and gain nothing ........

I'm right there with you. I have MS, and I have 4 meds that are, what my neurologist calls, non negotiable. They treat my MS, my nerve pain, and my spasms. None of that will ever get any better, but the meds slow down the process of them getting worse. I'm so worried that taking them will be an issue after the surgery and keep weight on me that I would otherwise be able to lose.

I'm not finished with weight loss yet, as I'm waiting for revision. So stay tuned...

My photos aren't that great, especially my first pic. I forbade my photo to be taken so I literally have none of my fattest days and I still don't like taking photos. 😩 Collage%202022-04-14%2009_42_51.jpg

I have done my Surgery back on 24th February 2019, my maximum weight was 160.3 KGs (352 lbs), since then I have lost around 46 KGs (100 lbs) and now weigh 114 KGs (252 lbs)

This was by far the best decision i have done in my life.

Below are my before and (so far) after photos

I finally found some before photos. The first photo was 2 months before the surgery. I was 145+ kg. Second was 3 months after the surgery when my clothes started to get baggy. Last one was taken today.

Pants size went from 52" - 44" - 38"

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
