Thank you, it does help to gain confidence :)

Don't worry or haste, if after the surgery, you follow the diet and start exercising, there will be a time where you will look back and actually think to yourself "Wow, was I really this person?", cheers!

My weight loss has slowed down a lot lately but I know I definitely need to hit the gym more regularly. So excited to be close to goal. The last time I saw the nutritionist she thought that 170lbs would be a good goal for me and we could reassess once I reach it. Today I'm 184lbs and I have my one year surgery anniversary coming up April 20th. Trying to crack down to hopefully be 170 by my annual check-up. Regardless I'm really proud of how far I've come and I know that I can get there with the same focus I've had the last 10-11 months. In the last week or so when I've seen old pictures I don't even recognize that person. Surgery was the best decision I've made! :)

The following pictures are from the past two years when I started my WLS journey. In the first picture in the summer of 2016, that clinic closed but I had all this preoperation experience in my toolbox. The other two pictures are me as I took up kickboxing for 10 months prior to surgery. In October I was scheduled on the 31st in 2017. I've almost down 50 pounds so very close. The last three are of the past couple days this March 2018.

Had VSG almost 2 years ago now. I'm down from a size 30/32 to a 12! I must admit within these past 3 months or so, it has been a war fighting against weight gain, and now my 12's are a little snug. I am determined to lose the 15lbs I've gained!! Ugh the fatgirl life!

Had my sleeve 2 years ago, got reflux so had it converted to bypass last summer. Highest weight was 267, stayed pretty steady at 143-147 for the past year, I'm 5ft 8. Gone from size 2XL to Small, and my feet went from size 11 to 9!

I started running, which has been a huge help with maintenance. I love Spartan style races, they are so much fun!

Edited pictures because I'm still in the closet and paranoid!! I haven't posted pictures here before, fingers crossed nobody I know sees them!20180117_133926.jpg.2f0e2d4e265b121421bcf9c35925b090.jpg 20180117_134403.thumb.jpg.05b74163d059db2671ee42a94c96952e.jpg

Hello Everyone. My name is Erica but in the social media world I go by the name Bariatric Butterfly. I’m a WLS Sister who had the Duodenal Switch in 2009. At my highest I weighed 399 lbs. On the day of surgery I weighed 384 lbs. Surgery got me down to roughly 210 lbs or so, but I managed to get myself back up to 230 lbs before getting real with myself. As of today, I’m weighing in at 164 lbs and have been able to maintain for a while all without starving and drinking shakes all day every day.

Throughout my journey I’ve been asked many times how I’ve managed to maintain a healthy lifestyle and continue to be successful so many years out. I would say perseverance, dedication and commitment to myself regardless of the circumstances. So many have asked about working with me. I didn't want to do it unless the time was right and I had something of value, substance and structure to bring to offer.

Well, I am excited to announce that I am working on a 30 day online program that offers fitness, nutritional, and lifestyle coaching to post weight-loss surgery (WLS) women who are at-least 18 months post op.. Since this is a new program and I have some kinks to work out, I’m looking to work with 8 women for 30 days beginning 04/01 in exchange for both a written and recorded testimony. I want to ensure that the 8 women I select are serious and committed to PERMANENT lifestyle changes.

Here’s what you can expect:

- Daily check-ins for accountability

- Weekly shopping list

- Weekly workouts with videos (gym or home)

- Weekly diet

- Weekly skype or zoom q&a

- Lifestyle modification tips

- Direct access to me via WhatsApp

- Private group community

I don’t subscribe or promote quick weight-loss or any reset diets. If this is what you’re looking for then this is not the program for you. I’m for changing the mind to achieve weight loss success. If you’re ready to make the commitment and get off the yo-yo wagon for good, let’s chat to see if this is the right program for you.

Please complete the form via the following link: http://bit.ly/beautimorphisis-intake

If you know someone that would be a good fit for, please share.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
