JuJuBee321 2 Posted February 13, 2014 Yesterday, I began my pre-op classes which will end at the end of July and so, I am expecting a surgery date in August 2014. That seems so far away right now, but I'd like to jump in feet first from the start. I've been reading "The Big Book on the Gastric Sleeve" and just working on preparing mentally and emotionally. My surgery date is set for August 25 @ OCC and I'm so excited. A big decision but I am so ready to change my life style. The nutritionist tells me I need to aim for a total loss of 26lbs before surgery (found that out this morning) so its a good thing I started my day with a Protein shake LOL Anyhow I just wanted to say hi. sleevexcited 56 Posted May 7, 2014 My ins covers surgery, but my employer has a stipulation that you need to be employed a year fro FMLA time off and for this procedure - So I completed my sleep study and failed- now working in that.
