I'm on my pre-op diet and sampling different Protein powders. I've tried Unjury and Syntrax Matrix, and Syntrax Matrix is WINNING! (in my Charlie Sheen voice). I'm having the Peanut Butter now for Breakfast, very yummy.

I wish I could have different Protein powders. I can only have Baractric Advantage and it's nasty. I started yesterday and so far so good but I can not stop craving mixed nuts Weird lol. Good luck to you.

Good luck to you too! My nurse said we can have any Protein Powder as long as it fits within the nutritional guidelines. When you get that nut craving, drink some chicken broth, it helps a lot.

i bought the Isopure chocolate recently, wasn't as chocolate-y as I was hoping, but it was ok... I add some SF Syrup to it for extra flavor.

Mines was a first try hit lol..I simply dispensed 8 ounces out my vue 700 threw that thermometer in it waited til it got to right at 140 degrees added my packet mixed it well than drank up. Totally delicious. I made my daughters with 8 ounces of warm almond milk still at 140ish degrees and it was heavenly. I love the fact it isn't really salty and have great flavor. Smelled like chicken broth too.

Yeah Curvy, I bought the Unjury sample packet and it came with the thermometer. I had two packets of chicken broth and I really screwed up one because the Water was entirely too hot (forgot about the thermometer lol). It was gritty and nasty. I did the second one the right way and it was delicious, nice and creamy.

Yes ma'am Sandee I loved it. Online now trying to find the Syntrax one u said u liked better than Unjury. BariWise has a ton of products that seem great for pre & post op like amaretto hot chocolate with like 21-28 grams of Protein for 1 cup. Only thing is it contains hydrolyzed Gelatin which comes from a pig in most cases and I don't consume pork. I was sooooooo disappointed.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
