HAD2DOIT 27 Posted February 12, 2014 My surgery was on 1/23/14 just 3 weeks ago and wanted to know does anyone get light headed or dizzy when going from a sitting position to standing.
LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted February 12, 2014 Yes. Both me and my husband. His is low blood pressure as he checks it regularly. He got up from a nap recently, felt dizzy, still got in the shower. Result? Passed out cold, cracked six tiles, blackened his cheek, scraped his arm all the way down with bleeding. Buy a cuff, they are easy to learn. Came to and checked his blood pressure, it was really low. BTW he is still on 2 BP meds (off 1). Take it easy! 1 Ballermom reacted to this
Ballermom 803 Posted February 12, 2014 Lightheadedness could be dehydration in which case push fluids. And or like Linda said low blood pressure with or without medication. follow up with your physician. Good luck 2 LindafromFlorida and BabySheldon reacted to this
aNewTanya 109 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) Are you getting in enough fluids? I know that dehydration can be the cause. Were you on BP meds prior to your surgery? Congrats on your sleeve! I'm envious! Edited February 12, 2014 by aNewTanya 1 BabySheldon reacted to this
Madam Reverie 2,958 Posted February 12, 2014 Up your Water, up your Protein, take your Vitamins and dare I say it.. have a few carbs. The moment I did that, it improved greatly. 2 onedaycloser and Aileen-March 2014 Sleeved reacted to this
