I curious about others rate of loss too but NOT to compare myself to. My surgeon asked me my goal weight and I said I don't one. So no comparisons needed. It doesn't mean I can't be interest in the general rate most lose in the first few months like the OP. Were all adults and not everyone need a lecture based off what others posters wrote in the past.

Me too!

I never set one they asked me the same thing I said ummm smaller healthy? don;t actually have a goal do i need one? they said no its better ot not have a goal as it could be somethign i never reach and i am being far more realistic this way as i will be happy with the results regardless of what the final one is.

I only added the one to my ticker because well it needs one and it’s the average weight for a woman my height lol

Looking over my book I kept the first year the ONLY time I put my weight down was on the 23rd of august 2012 I personally measured my body parts inch loss monthly than keeping track of my weight.
so lets see by 2 months and 8 days out I had lost 106lbs from day of op in total pre and post op 119lbs.

I don’t have any other stats from any other months to tell you more.
I don’t calorie count never have so no help there either.

Started @ 287 (5'10"). Sleeved 10/21. Lost 16 pre-op and weighed 221 this morning. I feel I've been a slow looser, but am not complaining. I feel I need to change up what I'm eating. I've been eating the same Proteins (chix, eggs, cheese, yogurt) and find the more I mix it up the better I do.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
