CrazyJaney 775 Posted March 14, 2014 I forgot gas strips and I wish so badly that I had them with me. Gas makes more pain for sure.

greensleeve 457 Posted March 14, 2014 I'm on the 25th and feeling schizo! It's a roller coaster every day. I go from euphoria to tears. My poor husband. I'm taking three weeks off. My job is sedentary, but extremely stressful. 1 CrazyJaney reacted to this

My job is sedentary, but extremely stressful. Loveit2012 you are going to do great!! It's totally normal to feel how you feel so close to surgery date! When I was sleeved five months ago I was an anxious wreck! Lol. When it was all said and done with I said to myself 'I worked myself all up for that!'. You made a great choice! Best wishes for a speedy recovery for you! :-)
betsyp 2 Posted March 14, 2014 So, I was getting nervous and upset because I'm 8 days into the liquid diet and haven't seen any change on my scale. The only "cheating" I've done is have a few wheat crackers when I was feeling very edgy. I emailed the nutritionist at the surgeon's office and here is her reply: You’re doing fine!! The goal of the pre op diet is not to lose weight, but to shrink the liver. Don’t worry about your weight. Following the plan as presented is the goal. Beware of forums because every bariatric practice has their own guidelines and protocols. Don’t hesitate to call or email if you have questions. Have a good weekend! Beth Flynn, RD, LD This made me feel much better!! 1 delove32 reacted to this
greensleeve 457 Posted March 14, 2014 Hey if you could lose weight that way you wouldn't need surgery right? Some people bodies go into starvation mode, I wouldn't worry. 1 cyoungblood reacted to this

Beth Flynn, RD, LD This made me feel much better!! Your doing great Betsy! Your nutritionist is right, your doing great and purpose is to shrink the liver. The more you follow it the less discomfort you are to have on the left side after surgery. Keep up the good work! Doing great! Look forward to updates after your surgery :-)
