Lisa00 14 Posted February 12, 2014 So today I had the last two of my pre-op requirements done, I saw the Nut and the Psych. They have all said I am good to go, so now what happens from here? I am not to sure of the process. Thanks
DestinClair1983 72 Posted February 12, 2014 Now, you just have to wait for your surgeon's office to submit all of your information to your insurance, and wait for approval! The approval process varies from insurance to insurance. It could range from a few days to a few weeks. I would call your surgeon's office in about a week or so to make sure they submitted everything. When I called in to check if my surgeon's office had, they hadn't yet, and it took that call to get the ball rolling again! Good luck!
Walt99 7 Posted February 12, 2014 Call them, leave a message then call again the next day! It worked for me! The squeaky wheel get's the grease! By law (in California at least) they have 72 hours to approve or deny a claim. If it takes longer then this then doctors office may have not placed the request for the surgery. Lisa00 14 Posted February 12, 2014 Ok now I am confused, when I first started this process my surgeon's office said I was approved by my insurance already. How come I hear of a lot of you saying that you are waiting for insurance approval process after your done with your pre-op requirements?
mdk80 22 Posted February 12, 2014 Different insurance have different requirements. With mine I made an inquiry in the morning, and ahead an answer that afternoon. A friend of mine had to wait two weeks..
