Schmincke 118 Posted February 11, 2014 Interesting reports of increased alcoholism risk after Roux-en-Y. I don't know that the sleeve has been studied. Mama Spike 144 Posted February 11, 2014 I am 7 weeks out and have had a total of 3 small glasses of wine (on 3 separate occasions). I didn't feel the effects and it actually didn't taste good which is probably a good thing!???? 1 motherearth reacted to this
slvrsax 301 Posted February 11, 2014 I'm 8 weeks out and had maple Crown straight (had no idea what to put it with that didn't have carbonation) and it burned at the top of my esophagas where it meets my stomach. I had scar tissue removed there from years of acid reflux, so that probably explains the burning. I had 2 sips and stopped, but had a buzz off 2 sips! The burning wasn't intolerable but I know that isn't normal so booze will be off limits for a while. 1 motherearth reacted to this

Give it a few more weeks and try to mix the liquor with something else, maybe a little cranberry juice or something like that.
