Mattchampine 1 Posted February 10, 2014 I had my surgery on January 29th. Since the preOp diet I'm down 37 lbs. I'm happy with the results but I have to say I miss food. I think it's because I'm not allowed to eat right now. Is anyone dealing with this right now? The shakes are making me gag lately because it's so repetitive. Other than that I'm so happy about the results. I can feel it. I notice the difference. I just really miss the "chew" maybe. HELP!!! Tell me I'm not alone. cubbies76 132 Posted February 10, 2014 I was that way when I was at your stage. The missing of food gets much less as time goes along and you realize you can still eat the meals you love, just a lot less at once. But that means we get leftovers, which is awesome (until you start throwing them out because you can't get through them all). 1 jallsop reacted to this
Mlssrodd1521 9 Posted February 10, 2014 Aww...you are definitely not alone. It takes some getting used too. I was the same way in the beginning. And the Protein shakes did begin to make me gag because of the repetitiveness, my taste buds kinda changed a little bit. I got disgusted by the one Protein Drink and had to try a new one. You'll be back to chewing food in know time! Keep positive. You can do it!
