I was sleeved December 20, 2013 and I have lost 65lbs as of this morning! It definitely is getting harder.. My doctor has high expectations for my weight loss goals.. Which I am glad because I know if he didn't, I wouldn't be so determined. I have started exercising at least 4 times a week for an hour to get out of my stall, my dr also recommended instead of my two Snacks a day, cut down to one.. He also said the first 9 months are the most vital time to get the weight off because after that the weight will come off a lot slower.. About 1-2lbs a month. But you all are doing great and good luck with your weight loss journey!

Dec 30th was my sleeve day Highest weight 249 lbs Day of surgery 222 lbs Today 197 lbs!! So I've lost 25 lbs since surgery six weeks ago. I'm pretty happy with that. I was stalled for two weeks even. It took me six months to lose that pre-op lol

I'm happy with the 65 pounds I'm just nervous I'm falling into bad habits bc my sleeve can handle so much more!!! Mentally it sucks to not be able to eat anything for 2 months and then you wake up and ur able to eat half a turkey and egg white wrap!!! I guess I just have to stay positive a lot has happened to me these last fee weeks and I'm just feeling down n out

what happen for u to be able to eat more do u think your pouch stretch out? What r u eating because this is so hard for me!

I began my journey at 245lbs Oct. 31st.
Dec. 23(surgery date) I was 226lbs.
When i weighed last night and this morning I was 200.8lbs.

I just started exercising today (45 mins on treadmill) so i may lose faster. I like the rate I'm losing right now though because it's giving me time to adjust to my new body. If i started losing 5 - 10lbs a week, people would get suspicious of my surgery (yeah i'm in the wls closet) and it would be jarring for me.

I don't eat Pasta, greasy foods, hardly any fast food, and i almost never touch bread because even in small doses they hurt my chest and give me. That God awful stuck sensation.

me to I didn't tell anyone!!! I would like to no what r I eating I'm trying. To so 5 lbs a week only doing 2 lbs a week very concerned about that!????

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
