jlong007 6 Posted February 8, 2014 Hello All, For the past couple of days, I've noticed that when I walk, my calves are sore. I have no swelling and it's not warm to the touch. Just want to know if anyone has ever experienced this
JeanZ_RN 378 Posted February 8, 2014 Both, or just one? Have you been more active than usual in the past few days?
Mama Spike 144 Posted February 8, 2014 Are you getting enough fluids in like G2?
gohelpyourself 377 Posted February 8, 2014 Get some potassium in you.
jlong007 6 Posted February 8, 2014 I've been walking a lot more. The soreness is mainly on the right, but I could also feel it on the left
gohelpyourself 377 Posted February 8, 2014 if your surgery was recent it could be sore muscles from positioning on that OR table.
JeanZ_RN 378 Posted February 8, 2014 Sounds like it's just from walking more. If that's it, it will ease with time, and no food or drink will make any difference. Think of it as a badge you get for moving more. If it bothers you, try taking some Tylenol.
gohelpyourself 377 Posted February 8, 2014 actually if it is sore from overactivity drinking Water to help flush lactic acid out will certainly help. Be careful with taking tylenol if you are on lortab b/c that has tylenol in it too.

abarta83 118 Posted February 9, 2014 Sounds like you're sore from excercise ....in which case its probably working..no pain no gain my friend;-)
Fiddleman 4,376 Posted February 9, 2014 Try some coconut Water. I take that to prevent calf cramping due to working out when calves are heavily used (lots of jumping for example). 1 abarta83 reacted to this
