Ones anyone use the bodymedia bodybugg? I recently bought one on EBay, and I love it. Just curious if anyone else uses a tracker!? So far I'm losing very well.... Almost too much! I have to watch and not lose anymore til after my insurance approval. Dr is worried I might lose to much weight and not be eligible for the surgery due to lower BMI... I'm so NOT willing to risk that. Lol

Hope y'all have a great day! Happy weight loss to us all! :)

Misty - I haven't exercised in a month and a half, I'm so close on the BMI and I don't want to count on my comorbids for approval. I haven't decided on a tracker yet although I've heard good things about the fitbit force.

I've heard good things about the fit bit! I am actually thinking of switching to it. I just can't adapt to having a thing around my arm constantly. I'm always adjusting this thing and always moving it causes a lil it to get a lil sore. I just figured I'd see if anyone else had this issue? I'm def going to either have to get something else or figure out a way to keep from it rubbing my arm raw! Lol

I had the body Bugg and now I use a Fitbit flex .the body Bugg was great but with the watch and arm band it cost over $300 plus there was a yearly activation fee. The Fitbit was a Christmas gift but cost only $129 and no yearly fee. I like it very much and very accurate when I had my sleep studies too, Fitbit can do all you foods too and a great friends source if you so choose. Calculates Water, sleep, steps, activate times, cal burned, miles and mine does the time as well!

Good luck with whatever you choose.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
