TheNewSleevedJulie 43 Posted February 7, 2014 Have the hardest time telling myself I'm full. I'm scared to be pushing things and there's even times where after one or two bites of something I feel like I'm going to puke. Anyone else going through this or have suggestions? I eat super slow and if I get to the point of feeling like it's going to come back up. I still feel hungry! It's like my mind isn't matching up with my stomach and I'm getting so frustrated 1 finallythin reacted to this
Recycled 2,182 Posted February 7, 2014 Is it you mind or your habits..?? Try to get your mind around the idea that those signals (like puking or pressure) you're feeling "are" the feelings of being full. And recognize that when you think you still need more food, that is just your old habits hanging on. Eating is what we all did. All the time. I filled any spare time looking for food to eat. I really didn't need it......I just filled in the time with eating. Now I'm full quick and there is alot of unused time and occasionally my thoughts go to thinking I'm still hungry. I quickly realize that's impossible and think of something else or go do something else to get my mind off of it. Re-teach your mind. Develop new habits. Busy yourself. Go walk or do some exercises. You'll get the hang of it. 2 gourmetone and finallythin reacted to this
TheNewSleevedJulie 43 Posted February 7, 2014 Maybe that is what's going on. I can't seem to make heads or tales of it and I don't want to stretch out my stomach
sunkissed 20 Posted February 7, 2014 Measure your food! It's happened to me that 1 extra bite just fills me up too much n I dont feel good after. Of course it's only happened when I try to eyeball my food. 1 Recycled reacted to this
belunos 93 Posted February 9, 2014 Measuring is the best bet. I've learned that feeling full is different now than before surgery. Before it just felt like a rock in the stomach, now it feels like stuff is backing up into my esophagus, most unpleasant. 1 Recycled reacted to this
