Prevent/treat saggy skin after surgery?

Recommended Posts

You can try "dry brushing." Google or check it out on YT.

Curvy_Goddess I have the same fear. Who wants extra skin? I've always worked out so hopefully my love for strength training will help.

Awesome!! Congrats on your surgery date. You will definitely experience all this almost a month before me so if you wouldn't mind we could be surgery buds :-). Just let me know I'm 21 live in ATL,GA

Yea I've tried a lot. The only that's decent in almost everything is powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury. Don't get me wrong in my opinion you can taste it but it's not bad AT ALL and they have some cool flavors. The premiere Protein shakes are good as well. You can also try Isopure but I didn't like it enough to drink it on a regular basis. I hope that helps!

I am concerned about saggy skin too. I think that all we can do is exercise, eat right and stay healthy! I will not go sleeveless for sure and I am going to camouflage as much as I can. My concern is that I plan on looking for a marriage partner in the next 1 to 2 years. This guy is really gonna have to love me...saggy skin and all! Im 53

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
