NoleGirl98 16 Posted February 6, 2014 I have this weird texture issue thing where I can't even look at the Water that forms at the top of sour cream (gagging just thinking about it). The Greek yogurts I have bought have all had this same water substance on top. Does anyone know of a brand that doesn't separate like this?
Chelenka 827 Posted February 6, 2014 Just stir it back in it's the whey separating and it's good for you. If it doesn't separate then it's full of chemicals. You can also just pour it off the top. 2 bloreorbust and Alex Brecher reacted to this
Terry Poperszky 2,784 Posted February 6, 2014 I have used multiple brands and they all separate. I'm with Chelenka, if you find a brand that doesn't separate I wouldn't want to eat it
7 Bites_Jen 479 Posted February 6, 2014 I agree with what everyone else has said - it's supposed to separate like that
Scout1234 161 Posted February 6, 2014 I love my Dannon Greek Yogurt.....I live on the vanilla fat free with only 80 calories per container. I put a cup of fruit, usually blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries with a little granola (about a 1/4 cup) and it is a great Breakfast or snack for around 250 calories. It's awesome 1 Meintraining reacted to this
piercedqt78 658 Posted February 6, 2014 I'm with you on the liquid being gross. I have started shaking my little yogurt cup before I open it, problem solved. 2 Meintraining and Doing It 4 Them reacted to this
woo woo 872 Posted February 6, 2014 Another trick I've read about is to store your yogurts upside down in the fridge to avoid this. 5 Bandista, KristinaRnY, 7 Bites_Jen and 2 others reacted to this

My dog wouldn't even eat it lol. Zoi is my all time favorite but I do like chobani as well.
SecretBander 79 Posted February 6, 2014 If the yogurt even starts to get warm it separates even more. I bring one to work in my lunch pak and this doesnt keep it cold enough and it separates like crazy. So now I put it in the fridge at work. Also 10-15 min in the freezer will tighten it all back up again so you dont see the separation and it's nice and chilled
7 Bites_Jen 479 Posted February 7, 2014 I do like Fage a lot - it does separate but it has a texture and flavor similar to sour cream. 1 Terry Poperszky reacted to this
NoleGirl98 16 Posted February 7, 2014 Thanks everyone. I might try the freezer trick with all the brands mentioned.

SIJoe 111 Posted February 7, 2014 That's the whey to go! 2 Meintraining and ElyQuint reacted to this
MichiganChic 3,262 Posted February 7, 2014 It doesn't bother me, I just stir it back in. But if it did, I'd have a hard time eating it. I've started adding a couple teaspoons of Peanut Butter, equal, and a little sugar free Torani caramel Syrup to my Fage 0%, and I LOVE it!
ElyQuint 446 Posted February 18, 2014 I get grossed out by the liquid too. I eat it anyway.
