sumadnrao 1 Posted February 6, 2014 Hi welcome to the forum, i am new here aswell and feeling good... i had my Sleeve Surgery 2 weeks now.. doing really well from overall health perspective.. hoping to putdown more lbs so far have lost 14 lbs including my pre and post op.. Congrats on your 24th date it's coming fast and I know I'm excited so i can only imagine you lol. Curvy_Goddess 24 Posted February 7, 2014 Well this is my third time in 3 years doing this process so I've done everything in the book. The first time I started my 6 month diet and half way through they said it wasn't covered. The second time I had a surgery date of November 5 2012 and a week before my insurance company called and said there was an exclusion. This time my insurance company does cover it and March will be my 6th month of the supervised diet. I have to go to one last meeting explaining what to expect and pre/post diet etc. Then a $600 program fee. I've done my psych eval, upper GI barium test, EKG, and have had my PCP send in a medical necessity letter. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
millergirl314 168 Posted February 7, 2014 Wow that's a lot to go thru, lots of ups and downs bc of insurance. I had to switch mine to get coverage. Just approved by my insurance last week, my pre op appt is the end of this month, which we schedule surgery on that date. I figure late March/April is when they will get me in.
