Tell me the honeymoon is NOT OVER?!

Recommended Posts

This month marks my 7th month, the hunger and snacking demons feel like they are kicking into full gear! The weight loss has stalled for a week (2nd time for me) and I remember freaking out before during my last stall. So my question is should I expect this stall to break on it's ow. Or should I adjust my diet??? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Granted, due to the severe weather conditions I have been unable to get out and workout like I'd like, but I have continued to do some indoor activities. I also measure my food 2ounces per meal and calories <700

I'm not an expert but at 7 months out it seems like you should be eating more than 700 calories. That could be the problem

Thanks! My NUT is a quack, every time I see her she just keeps telling me to keep doing what I'm doing until it stops working....lol duh! :) I will try to up my caloric intake and see if it helps.

I wouldn't panic yet. I ate around 800 calories for the second half of the first year. My loss did slow a little at around 6 months, and again around 10 months. Now loss is at a crawl. I've gradually upped my calories to 1200 because it's just getting too hard to eat less. Honestly, if you can tolerate eating 700, then I'd continue to do it. Stalls are a normal part of losing, and the closer you get to goal, the more of them you are going to see, most likely. I know how hard it is to tolerate them - I wanted to lose 10 pounds a month until I lost all my weight, but that didn't happen. There is a reason I was so fat - my body prefers it that way, and it is going to hang on to every last pound as long as it can. Just keep doing what you are doing and what makes sense for you, and the longer times goes on, you will find your way. I really have not found a magic bullet yet when it comes to weight loss, and sometimes there is NO explanation for how or why I lose or stall.

I love your pic, and I suggest doing exactly that - Keep Calm :) You got this.

I am a little over 6 months out and this is the first stall I have encountered. I have adjusted net calories from 850 to 950-1000. I've even joined a gym and walk faithfully everyday and still haven't moved the dial on the scale. . Any recommendations as to what else I can do to jump start again.?

I am at my 6 month post op.. My weight has slowed way down. I workout 5 days a week. I'm getting 900-1000 calories a day. Why is my weight stalled? I still need to lose 60 lbs :(

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
