This is worth it, you can do it, lol! Not enough motivation? Ok, you are on the road to transforming your life, some of it you will expect and be ready for. Some of it you won't. There will be bumps in the road - this isn't an easy surgery, physically or emotionally.

But as you lose weight and reach goal, life will not be the same. I dance, I exercise, I accept invitations I used to hide from. I love shopping for clothes, I have a social life and I go on dates.

I laugh. I love being alive. And I thank my sleeve every day

:-))))))

Good luck, I wish you every success....

"it is worth it"

"you can do this"

being nervous is normal....the liquid diet was no problem for me; some people struggle the first few days because your body is detoxing... but we are here for you!

Good luck! It's the BEST thing I ever did for ME!

Absolutely worth it! Follow your doctors instruction, stay strong and seek motivation when you need it. This site will help you with the last part. The sleeve with help you with your intake, the rest is up to you. Single best thing I ever did for myself.

Best of luck!!

A B S O L U T E L Y W O R T H I T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 11 weeks post op - it was worth every Protein shake I drank, every mile I walked, every tear I cried. I've had my ups and downs, but I'll tell you, for me, this was the best decision.

I'm in San Francisco this week traveling with my husband for our yearly trip here. I used to dread all the walking you do in a city because, quite frankly, I was fat and out of shape. I've been able to walk up VERY steep hills and outlast my husband on our walks thru the city. It's fantastic. I feel great.

The pre-op diet sucks. But, once you accept that fact and you start feeling better, you'll do fine. You are so close to your surgery date - how exciting!

You got this!!!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
