myfoursons 0 Posted March 26, 2007 Hello everyone. I have a surgery date for the second of April. I am so excited but at the same time very nervous. I have been sleeping very little because it is getting so close. And no one knows I am doing this besides my husband and my best friend. The questions I have to ask is first what did everyone do to prepare for the surgery before and after? And my Dr. told me that I could eat chewable Flinstones Vitamins. But I have found chewable Centrum Vitamins. And I fell like I will get what I need out of these. Does anyone know if this is ok. As these have a fruit taste to them. I have already bought my Protein packets. So I will be ready for that. But any more good advice/my questions. Thank you to all and I look forwards tomaking new friends thrue this long hall. Stacey I am blessed:clap2: The Centrum chewables are fine. The doc probably said the Flintstones because they are more known are readily available. I used the Centrum. It is better than digging the sugary Flintstones out of your teeth all day.
stormbrewing 0 Posted March 26, 2007 I got about 10 high-horsepower sleeping pills called temazepam, about 3 days after surgery. I had a hell of a time sleeping, and they knocked me down almost immediately. You may not have a problem, but they're nice to have at 2am when you're looking at that little red light on the smoke detector for a few hours.

purplemonkey 1 Posted March 27, 2007 berry, My nutritionist said that your body can only absorb 20-25grams of Protein at a time. I don't know about you but I have a really hard time drinking a lot of Protein shakes, especially when constantly trying to drink all the Water I need. So I buy those New whey liquid Protein Test Tubes. Each Test Tube has 42g of protein in 3 oz of liquid. So I'll drink half of it in the morning and the other half in the evening. That way I've got the 42grams in for sure and the rest I am able to get from my food. Are you taking B12? It makes a huge difference in my energy level and overall mood. I recommend the sublingual ones that dissolve under your tongue and go right into your blood stream. Great stuff! Good Luck :bolt: Virginia
Berry 0 Posted March 27, 2007 Has anyone ever tried the whey Liquid Protein? It's a 3 oz. vial of Protein and has 42 grams of protein in each one. Wondering If I should get some of those. That way I won't have to drink the nasty shakes.< /p>

Berry 0 Posted March 27, 2007 I found some B12 dots that seem to be very similar on www.a1nutritionproducts.com . They charge 9.95 for 250 tablets or $5 for 100 tab.
purplemonkey 1 Posted March 28, 2007 berry, My first time with the Protein test tube was a little overwhelming. It is wicked sweet. Some people mix it with Water, but I'd rather just suffer the 3oz and get it overwith. I get them at the Vitamin shoppe and they carry fruit Punch, Orange, Grape and Blueberry. So far I've tried the orange and grape. The orange is by far the sweeter of the two. The grape is little better because it's a bit more dulled down. Here in New Jersey they are $2.99 each. I know you can get them online by the 12pack but you may want to buy the singles and sample to see what's best for you. P.S. I take the B12 sublingual Dots that are 1000mcg's. http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=VS-1063 Virginia
