cathibass13 3 Posted February 4, 2014 I know this is probably a question for a nutritionist, but I'm going to throw this out there: I'm beginning to see a correlation between carbs eaten in a day and stalls or even gains. So my question is: how many carbs is "normal" now that I have a new, spiffy sleeve? I know that with the Adkins diet, a 3 week period of 21 carbs/day was suggested. Any ideas? gomekast 559 Posted February 4, 2014 Each of us has a personal preference. I kept mine under 24 until week 12.. then I upped because I hit my first resting period. Most track everything, so my thought is to track and see where your body is happy while still losing. Eventually you'll have to up them a bit just to keep yourself going. cathibass13 3 Posted February 4, 2014 At least you've given me a number! I seem to be jumping all over the place, as does my weight. I won't even have my next check up/in until 3/4, and I don't want to wait that long to have a good, solid number.
gomekast 559 Posted February 4, 2014 Yeah, I hear ya. I went as low carb as I did because I loved the Dukan Diet from years past. I'm not sure the average person is able to go as low carb as I did. I would say, if you've done the low carb eating in the past, and you liked it then go back to that. I stopped only once I stopped losing weight. Then I reevaluated things and upped just a little. I'm averaging around 33-45 carbs now per day. I'm 4 months post op next week. 1 hatters reacted to this
Stacy_wls 135 Posted February 4, 2014 My carbs tend to be about 50 per day. I'm truly not watching them all that much. I am more focusing on Protein and then veggies. My carbs are coming from veggies, Protein Shakes, and Vitamins.< /p>
