sunkissed 20 Posted February 3, 2014 How was it? Did you find any particular food that went down hard? Any recommendations or interesting ideas on what to eat? I'm ready to be done with liquids!!!
Recycled 2,182 Posted February 3, 2014 liquid to puree is a big difference. At least it was for me. I really had no limitations with liquids. I could drink quite a bit in a very short time. The puree however will demonstrate to you just how big your sleeve really is. First measure the appropriate amount (for me about 3 ounces) and eat it very slow........then wait for the feeling of fullness. Kinda like pressure in the chest. Don't try anymore after that. Then wait for 30 minutes to drink. I pureed just about everything. It's good to have some real food taste. However, now with all the limits of a few ounces and all the before and after waiting to drink, you will have to be diligent to get in enough Protein and calories. Enjoy. 1 Noor1969 reacted to this
Carlotta1 401 Posted February 3, 2014 I had a hard time transitioning from the liquid to purée stage. I had a hard time keeping things down. But after 3 weeks it was much better. So I stayed on purée for 3 weeks rather than 2.. Just listen to your body. Eat slow and a little when u try new foods.

FitnFabfor2014 358 Posted February 4, 2014 Hi, I was so looking forward to getting off liquids but, unfortunately I had a hard time with the pureed foods also. I was only able to get in some pureed tuna and that only lasted for a minute, then my Dr. put me back on liquids again uhg. The pureed foods just were not sitting well at all. Today I tried some pureed chicken salad. It's ok I guess. I think my big issue is texture. I can not stand the pureed taste/texture of anything . I keep finding myself going back to liquids each time. You may fly through puree' foods and really enjoy it. Good luck!
