stephg 34 Posted February 3, 2014 I'm one week out and craving tomatoes so bad. Tomato Soup, pizza, spaghetti sauce etc that kind of stuff. I'm thinking a couple sips of Tomato Soup would be ok!?!?!
HHHappy 225 Posted February 3, 2014 are you allowed full liquids yet?

stephg 34 Posted February 3, 2014 Thank you all for responding. Actually my surgeon says he doesn't care and I can do pureed foods at this point, but I can't tolerate anything. I just took one small bite of vanilla pudding and I am already paying for it. I feel like I am starving, I can't find anything I can tolerate other than Water.< /p>
AllisonKara 46 Posted February 3, 2014 People are generally allowed pureed food in their second week post-op. It may take some more time in some cases like yours. As you said that you could not tolerate the vanilla pudding, it clearly indicates that you should not try pureed food yet. Give it some more time. I guess 2-3 days should do or 5 days at most. I am sure you should be fine by then. Congrats, and all the best.
Teachamy 1,042 Posted February 3, 2014 Tomato Soup was my good friend for a couple of weeks. I found it much easier to tolerate warm fluids instead of cold. Good luck to you! It will get better. 1 CoffeeGrinDR reacted to this
Roo101769 742 Posted February 3, 2014 Mmmm..Yep, Tomato Soup was super yummy after surgery. ( when allowed full liquids) I was sick to death of "cream of" anything, but Tomato Soup never got old. Of course it did take an entire week to finish a family size can of the stuff, but it was so worth it! In fact, it sounds good right now! LOL 1 Teachamy reacted to this
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted February 3, 2014 I can tolerate Tomato Soup, but diced tomatoes went through me like a sieve.
