Holy indigestion! Feels like a heart attack

I'm still on mushy food and I ate roasted garlic with my mashed potatoes tonight. I now have such indigestion that I think I'm having a heart attack. I've walked the house since 10:30 and the pain in my stomach is unbearable. I keep burping but no relief. I took gasx at 10:30 and 2 chewabl//pepsid around 12:30 and still no relief. Help!

I know that we are not supposed to drink soda. But sometimes, 7-up or coke is the only thing that will help. Drink it room temp and only a few ounces. Best wishes, Karen..aka..kll724

I went to the hospital at 4:00am. I had ct scans of my stomach, chest, ekg. Dr. Wants to do exploratory tomorrow.

No surgery. Turns out I have a gastrointestinal infection
