cd2851492 14 Posted February 8, 2014 They took her off on the medi-honey that they were placing in the wounds and now she is healing. They also have her on antibiotics. Her energy is up a bit too. Thanks for your prayers. 4 BabySheldon, SuperFab, Texasmeg and 1 other reacted to this

BerryChic 26 Posted February 11, 2014 I can't really speak to #1 or #3 because I didn't have those issues. But having no energy? I can so relate! It was driving me crazy. I was reading the forums and saw many responses telling others who had the same problem to just be patient and give it more time. Many said at 3 months, it is much, much better. And they were right! Each week I felt a little better but still very tired and worn out even though I wasn't doing anything! Then at about 9 weeks I noticed a considerable difference but still not feeling like myself. Finally at 12 weeks I began to feel normal again which was great because I was missing me (not the physical, body weight loss, that was great!). Give yourself 3 months and if the energy comes back sooner, great! If not, just wait it out because it will get A LOT better.
cd2851492 14 Posted February 11, 2014 Thanks, I will pass this along to my wife. She has lost 25 lbs since the Jan 5 surgery, which in itself is enough reason to be tired. I just passed 40. I do find I need another hour or two a night of sleep more than before the surgery.
cd2851492 14 Posted February 15, 2014 Question, now that she is well into the healing of the incision, she told me that she has not lost weight in about two weeks. Is this plateauing 4-6 weeks after surgery something that can happen? Thanks
