Thank you for contacting me. I have never heard of the port or band leaking..... What do they do for that?

Dr. Duckette actually decided to use the realize band on me during my surgery. He told me upfront that he would decide during the surgery. I was losing weight easly in the beginning but I've been at a stand still for two weeks and I'm getting worried. The insurance company won't let me get my first fill for 90 days so I have to wait until May 8th.

I had to wait 90 days as well for my first fill. I found out my band was leaking on my first fill. Loss of restriction after a few days of the fill were my signs. I have to have dye injected into the band and port in a week to see where it is leaking at. Once they find out where I'll have to go back under the knife for surgery.

I was pretty hungry right before I received my first fill and my weight was at a stand still for a few weeks. I just made sure that I was following 1200-1500 calories a day, exercising 1/2 or more a day and drinking my Water and the weight started to come off again.

Believe it or not the water seemed to help me a lot.
