Best advice that I got and did was as soon as you can, get you can, get up and start walking around the hospital. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

I am scheduled for Monday as well. I am trying to to think too much about it or I may start to get anxious. Going to go out today and get my clears and full liquids. I found chewable gasX and Biotin both at Dollar General. I cleaned my house as much as I care to and I am just trying to stay relaxed and pray to get through this and back to my life as soon as possible. Good luck. Many prayers for a speedy recovery.

U must be excited and a little nervous. I remember when I got close or my surgery. I did great with my surgery and hope u do the same. Just be patient the first month..going through the different food stages . Your tummy needs to heal..so it will be a hit or miss in trying new foods. Keep us posted on your weight loss journey.. We r here to help.

Thanks everyone currently on my last shift at work tonight starting my clear liquid diet. For anyone that is drinking the Isopure pre mixed drinks. I bought a grape Powerade zero and mixed the melon Isopure 50/50 and it tastes a hell of a lot better. Not really getting nervous more excited. Tomorrow I am gonna head out on the the four wheeler for a while take a nice relaxing ride through the woods and get mentally prepare my self for the upcoming week.

Like I said 10 times before my biggest worry with the surgery was and still is. "your not that big, I am surprised your approved, put some time in at the gym and you will be fine". I am doing this because the surgery is a tool and i know on my own i am not going to lose 60 lbs and I am happy i stuck with my decision and I just hope everything goes well Monday morning. On a funny note the other day I was on my way to my final appointment and the song "Dont fear the reaper" came on..... haha ironic..

Follow the rules.

Sip liquid like it is your job (because it is).

Walk, walk, and walk some more.

Allow yourself to take it easy.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
