kimr 37 Posted February 1, 2014 Hi there Surgery is on Monday, so excited and nervous! I'll be in the hospital for 2 nights and my husband will be with me the day I come home. Wondering if you think the next day I'd need help or I can get up and manage myself (for drinks and potty breaks really)? I wasn't planning on him staying home from work and my kids will be at school. What do you all think? Same for Friday too? Thank you!
jlmckee 28 Posted February 1, 2014 My surgery was Monday morning, I came home Tuesday night. It's just me and my son. Wednesday morning his dad took him to school and I was okay on my own. I'd get up and walk around the house, drink, take meds and go back to bed, repeat. Hopefully you have a back up to call in case of any issue, but I was/am okay. Kookichu 113 Posted February 1, 2014 I agree with jlmckee. You should be fine. Your abdomen will be very tender and using a pillow to hold tightly against it helped me get up and down with more ease...some get abdominal binders for that purpose before leaving the hospital. My mom stayed the night with me the first night home just in case to (it eased her mind), but it was not necessary. Best wishes to you! 1 BeautyIncurls reacted to this
