Fullofitx3 146 Posted February 1, 2014 I'm 2 weeks post op and feeling better everyday. I've started on puréed foods this week and can't get over the fact that I'm stuffed after 2 or 3 bites, the other day I made refried Beans with a little bit of cheese and salsa and it was so good I tried to get another bite, big mistake, even though I didn't throw it back up I felt very uncomfortable and I learned my lesson. 2 ty36 and Recycled reacted to this
magtart 603 Posted February 1, 2014 Yep, just one bite too many and it is not pleasant.
Recycled 2,182 Posted February 1, 2014 The liquid stage is very misleading as you can typically drink quite a bit more than the sleeve holds. Then comes the puree or the soft foods and you find out the actual size of the sleeve. Usually the hard way......

Usually the hard way......Yeah, definitely. liquids only stay in your stomach for a few minutes whereas solids, even refried Beans, stick around for a lot longer. I'm 3.5 months out now and I can comfortably eat 5-6 ounces of dense Protein in one sitting. 1 Recycled reacted to this
fp9107 121 Posted September 26, 2014 I would start to sweat and my nose would start to run when my sleeve said that I was full. Sometimes you also have to watch what liquids you have as well. I was about a month out and I decided that I would try a couple of sips from a milkshake, bad idea. I discovered that I was lactose intolerant to full fat milk and creams. This seemed to be temporary, but wow did it hit me fast and furious.
mt_hi_liner 21 Posted September 26, 2014 Another tip and I was told this but didn't think it applied to me. Do not try lettuce or broccoli for awhile. I was sleeved 6/19. Last week my family wanted pizza. I thought I would just have a small salad from the salad bar. NOT SO MUCH. First issue that I have had from my sleeve. It all came back up and I didn't eat too much just the lettuce and raw broccoli really didn't work for me.
