MRock 3 Posted January 31, 2014 I everyone. I'm re-reading through everything regarding post-surgery diet; I cannot seem to find an answer to how long you are on soft foods. I haven't yet made it to the soft food stage but it is next week. Can someone tell me how long you stay on soft foods and what happens after that? Also - I've heard some good ideas for 'soft foods' like eggs, toast, corned beef hash..... Can anyone give me more ideas? Thank you for your responses. Carlotta1 401 Posted January 31, 2014 2 weeks for me on soft foods, but I actually had to stay on it for 3 weeks cause that is all I could handle. Ideas : cottage cheese, soft canned pears, whipped potatoes, yams, sugar free pudding , oatmeal ( not too dry) . Soft smashed Beans like what u can get at a mex restaurant or Taco Bell ,
JerseyGirl68 1,172 Posted January 31, 2014 I was on soft foods for 2 weeks, then I was cleared for everything at the 6 week mark. (first 2 weeks full liquids, next 2 pureed foods the soft) Check out the websites Emilybites.com and theworldaccordingtoeggface.com both excellent sources for recipes for all stages. 1 Blondiee reacted to this
