Reached one of my goals

Recommended Posts

My friend is renewing her vows and asked me to send her a pic from my wedding. So I did. No big deal really until I actually looked at the pic and realized that even though I am 7 pounds from weighing the same as I did in 2000 on my wedding day, I am thinner and leaner than I was. It has always been my goal to lol at least as good as I did that wonderful day. I never thought after having two kids I would be looking better. Man do I love my band.

Congratulations on your success -- you look very fit. Way to go! Great pictures -- so pretty in both but you have the body of an athlete now.

You look wonderful and pretty in both pictures but you definitely look slimmer now than when you were married. You made a beautiful bride by the way.

So great , that's right hold your high and smile I bet you had to stare at the side by side for a few min , and you saw what every body else see's.

Well done! You've really lost in/toned up your hip region, which, after having kids, is no small feat! Lovely and thanks for the motivational pics.

Oh Carolina...you ARE absolutely beautiful and an inspiration to the rest if us as well. Thank you for all the support.

Thanks to everyone for the words of support and encouragement. It's hard sometimes to not feel like your bragging but this is a place I know I can come to encourage others with my success.

I workout six days a week now. Last January I started with insanity. I did that twice. Then I did Focus T25. I finished p90x two weeks ago and am now two weeks into p90x3. P90x did a lot for toning my arms and back. I didn't lose weight but I toned up a lot. I probably would've lost ha I been better about my diet but it was the holidays ;)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
