Lady Pink 3 Posted January 30, 2014 I am 1 week post op and I think I have had trouble with the minuscule amount of caffeine in my sugar-free, fat-free chocolate pudding. I haven't had liquid caffeine in about 13 years but I ate chocolate a lot and was used to whatever caffeine was in there. Two separate nights I had the pudding and couldn't sleep for hours. Any one else find that? Am I crazy? Otherwise everything is going well but I can't wait to move to the next stage of food. I miss chewing!
Katcloudshepherd 630 Posted January 30, 2014 Lady Pink, One way to find out-- eliminate the pudding and see if you sleep better. I haven't had coffee since before surgery. I tried a little tea with caffeine--and my new tummy didn't like it. I had drank it in the morning so it didn't affect me at night. I drink sleepytime tea in the evening and take an herbal supplement to make sure I sleep at night. Good luck, Kathleen
