Do you eat on a somewhat set schedule or just listen to your body?

I'm eat pretty regular times on weekdays....

No Breakfast, just lots of coffee.< /p>

I eat lunch after my mid morning workout ( I try to drink a Protein Shake with frozen fruit at least three out of those five days).

I then eat dinner around six.

I'm definitely a creature of habit.

BTW, I am hungry at lunchtime and dinner time.

Weekends usually involve meals out, so I plan on eating according to the restaurant and whatever time we are meeting friends. Curb the hunger in between with Water and coffee!

In order for me to "maintain" my weight, I listen to my body..I eat something about every 2 hours..I always drink a liquid first..for me its ALL ABOUT WHAT I eat. I NEVER eat sweets, or just grab something mindlessly..my frig and cabinets are filled to the brim with my staple foods. There isn't a chance in hell that Im gonna grab a sweet treat, or Dead Process garbage, I cant, my life and weight depend on me not doing that. So Im always chomping on something, I carry food with me, in my purse or truck, a banana, or flavored rice cakes.

But I listen to my body..otherwise I will eat mindlessly. Or find myself standing in front of my frig and forgot or don't know why Im there!

Oh, just cuz Im thinkin it......

I don't jump up right away when I feel hunger, I let my self get HUNGRY. In my fat life I'd jump up or order in, immediately when my hunger button went off!!!..now I wait, drink something first, a coffee, or tea, whatever..Then, I attack a (already made in the frig ahead of time) 3 bean salad w/ broasted chicken, mushrooms, blah blah blah..sorry for the babble, I was just thinking..lol

I eat only when I'm hungry, and then only what my band will allow...never push it....however, since I very rarely experience hunger, there are times I need to eat whether I want to or not because I know I need to....

I have gone entire 24 hr periods forgetting to eat entirely....not Goidelic I know, that's why I need to remind myself.

I never eat less than two or more than four hours apart. Less than two is head hunger. More than four and you run the risk of getting overly hungry which can lead to overeating. For the head hunger, I drink a cup of Decaf coffee, Crystal Light, sugar free flavored waters, tea, etc. I love coffee so it is often my go to and it works like a charm for me.

It's easy to overlook the importance of learning to speak "pouch". But the short and long term benefits are well worth the effort. Focus on being very aware of what your pouch is telling you and when it's doing the most talking. Keep in mind that pouches are talkative by nature. Mine practically never shuts up. But with a little effort you will quickly learn to tell the difference between the seemingly endless "babble" that pouches seem to be so fond of and "Hungry! Now!".

Perhaps it's important to note too that in pouch speak, "eating" isn't synonymous with a "full meal". When my pouch is fussing about eating something, I often supplement the usual three meals a day with one or two light Snacks . Pouches are pretty easy-going and not terribly smart. Something to drink or a light snack will usually take them back to their happy place!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
