I love your chart, as it's very realistic - the slow down is real, BUT we keep losing! It can be so easy to stall out and lose motivation. Thanks for sharing!

You are absolutely right! We hit those stalls and we feel unaccomplished or like we are failing; but when we look at the big picture, we are definitely winning!

Hi Shells. ... Tried to pm you but keep getting an error message. What was your longest stall? I'm 2 months post op and have only lost 30 lbs? I feel like I'm not going to lose anymore?

My stats are close to identical to yours. HW was 234, SW was 227 and 5'6". At 19 weeks I am 176. Like you, I have a week where nothing happens and then the next week the loss seems to double up.

So far only some slight hair shedding , not true Hair loss . How about you? I'm hoping I'm out of the woods on this. You look wonderful , thanks for the inspiration and validation!

That's great to hear Janet! I'm glad it's going so well for you. The Hair loss has slowed down. I had a LOT of hair, so you can't really tell. I have no bald spots, and it's not so thin that you can see my scalp, but I miss my thick waves. The only plus is that I can curl my super quick! Ha! I'm glad to see that someone else has such similar stats. I'm on my phone, so I can't check out your pics on your page, but I'm sure you look and feel great :D

A big factor in stalls, gains and Hair loss is your hormones adjusting. Be kind to yourself because the hormones can make you crazy. If your doing your part, give your body a chance to do the work it needs.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
