Nutrition Classes

I attended my first insurance required Nutrition Class today. It was an absolute snooze fest. I felt like I was present in a middle school health class. I left feeling as if it was a 90 minute waste of my time. I certainly hope that the next 5 classes aren't as mundane. June 11 is the last class. That date seems so far away. I'm sure the time will whiz by,but I just wish that the classes were not a requirement.

Keisha lol I hope it gets better, but if not make you bring paper and pen , perhaps you can rake notes on whats pertinent to you and draw when they discuss other procedures nit pertaining to you, I know when I did my class they cover the sleeve , bypass , and touch lightly on the band, my center of excellence focuse on the sleeve and bypass . Congrats on your decision to be healthy .

Mine were the same way. Luckily I only had to attend 3 and got to do them by phone instead of being in a group class. I have not been back to one since 6 weeks post op and found them all of limited value. I agree with Cupcake. Take a notepad and try to come with questions that you think are relevant. Or at least so you can doodle...

Unfortunately they're pretty much all the same. Since there's always new people in they can never really advance the class.

Mine was the same way though, such a snooze fest. The worst was the exercise person, what a waste of time.
