joyrokk5 15 Posted January 25, 2014 Well today is day 4 post op. It seems that so far every other day is a good day. Yesterday I felt great but today I am nauseous and have some pain. I am dealing with it pretty good. I don't take my pain meds till its time for bed. I do think I may need some Tylenol today. I lost 15.2 lbs pre op and so far 5.1 since surgery. I have not been getting in the 64 oz of Fluid but getting better every day. So far so good!!! 1 MIJourney reacted to this
Fourstarmom 6 Posted January 25, 2014 I am also 4 days post op! I feel the same as you, every other day is good. I don't even come close to the 64 oz of Fluid and I am having a really hard time with the Protein. I ordered powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and just got it in the mail, I tried it this morning and it isn't too bad but I was not able to drink the whole 8 oz. I am really worried if I don't get my Protein in that I am going to lose my hair! How are you doing with the protein? Do you have anyother suggestions on how to get it in? 1 MIJourney reacted to this
joyrokk5 15 Posted January 25, 2014 I was told not to worry about my Protein. They pumped me with 2 huge bags of Vitamins and protein while in the hospital. Someone mentioned in on theard
joyrokk5 15 Posted January 25, 2014 I was told not to worry about my Protein. They pumped me with 2 huge bags of Vitamins and protein while in the hospital. Someone mentioned in one post about a protein shot that has 42g in it. She would mix it with her crystal light. Maybe try that. Good luck and keep me posted on your journey! 1 Fourstarmom reacted to this

MIJourney 490 Posted January 25, 2014 You will be able to increase both your Protein and fluids soon. The first 2 weeks I couldn't reach my goals at all in those. My Dr said to concentrate on fluids so I wouldn't get dehydrated. The worst is over for both of you. Each day will get better! The time goes by so quickly when you look back at it. Good luck in your journeys! 2 Fourstarmom and Who Dat 70461 reacted to this
Who Dat 70461 331 Posted January 25, 2014 Don't worry about it too much, the liquid is far more important than the Protein intake at this point. My wife had difficulty hitting her fluid goals the first 3-4 weeks. I agree wholeheartedly with the previous post... The worst is over for both of you. Each day will get better! The time goes by so quickly when you look back at it." Good luck and hang in there...I promise this will all be a distant memory before you know it! 1 Fourstarmom reacted to this
finallythin 18 Posted January 26, 2014 Hello. I'm 4 days post-op. Thanks for the information posted here thus far. I'm experiencing pain in my sleeve when I drink Water or Protein Shakes. Other than while drinking, there is no pain. I gag on the liquid ibuprofen. Any similar side-effects? I realize it could just be because I'm only 4 days out since surgery. Could be swelling/soreness in sleeve.
