IndieAllie 36 Posted January 24, 2014 Hello! 110 days post op here and down 70 pounds! As always, thrilled with my results but here is my latest puzzlement. I have had horrible hip, knee and back pain SINCE surgery. I walk, do minor weights - nothing over doing it that's for sure, but I get out of bed feeling like a grandma (no offense to any) but I'm 33!!! I just lost 70 pounds - shouldn't I be leaping pain free like a limber baby deer?? Sometimes, I feel like my body has a difficult time compensating for the QUICK loss and feels a little discombobulated. Anyone having similar issues? 1 Sleeve Siren reacted to this
Recycled 2,182 Posted January 24, 2014 Barring any injuries to your joints, (which being obese could easily do) my guess would be that at your heavier weight, you moved around a whole lot less. Your body is just taking some time to get used to things moving and stretching again. Give it time. 1 IndieAllie reacted to this

Sometimes, I feel like my body has a difficult time compensating for the QUICK loss and feels a little discombobulated. Anyone having similar issues? What I've read is that when you're heavier you moved and walked differently. Different areas of pressure on your joints. After weight loss your gait is different, you're changing the ways your joints move. So in a way, yes, you're discombobulated. Lol. You'll find your new normal and work everything out and the pain should go away. 1 IndieAllie reacted to this
IndieAllie 36 Posted January 24, 2014 Yes, makes a lot of sense! I can even cross my legs now, which might explain the hip issues! 1 SuperFab reacted to this
Melting in Az 22 Posted January 24, 2014 I notice I hurt more now too. Even just laying in bed, I can feel my rib cage (yes that's a good thing lol) but now laying on the bones they tend to hurt now. I think just before they had extra cushion. 1 IndieAllie reacted to this

deedadumble 1,033 Posted January 25, 2014 Have you had your Vitamin D levels checked? Low levels can cause body pain.
