Christa Deterding 2 Posted January 24, 2014 I am a month out after from my surgery and I have HORRIBLE acid indigestion. Any one else have this problem? What did you do for it? I am taking Prilesec twice daily for it but they dont always help. Have your doctor change PPIs. I have GERD and had to try a few til I was put on protonix twice daily. capecoralgrandma 44 Posted January 24, 2014 I had GERD before surgery so my surgeon did an endoscopy to see if I had a hiatal hernia, which proved that I did. He was able to repair the hernia during the sleeve surgery and I haven't had any problems with indigestion since my surgery on Dec. 26th. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
