molynn 0 Posted September 12, 2004 I decided for my 50th birthday in April I want to have my arms done. The hanging skin is horrible. Has any one had their arms done. I guess I will be paying out of pocket since I don't believe my insurance will cover it.
leatha_g 4 Posted September 12, 2004 I haven't, but I sure hate mine. They look awful and affect the type of clothes I can wear/buy too. :think
New Hope 37 Posted September 12, 2004 Me too. But isn't that a pretty painful surgery?
claraluz 2 Posted September 15, 2004 I hate mine, too. I haven't had it done (obviously), but I did hear a plastic surgeon speak about the procedure. He said you generally have a long scar down both arms. He also said that the techniques have imroved recently to give better results, but you still have the scars. In the end, I decided for myself that it would be six of one, half a dozen of the other. I wouldn't like long scars any better than I like the hanging skin. I remember when I was a little girl playing with my great anut's hanging arm skin, making it flop back and forth. She always laughed, but I won't if my great niece ever tries it with me!
